Cautiously, you open the door and tiptoe in. Darkness surrounds you  and the silence is deafening. You are painfully aware that the others did not follow. Both seemed afraid of the grasshopper and chose the door with the scorpion. You don't understand their logic. A scorpion is poisonous, but a grasshopper...
"Jumps very high!" Erik's mellifluous voice is in you ear again, this time with a sinister edge.
"Tonight Michael will sing a requiem mass for you!"
You've no time wonder what he means as you literally feel the floor fall out from underneath you. You begin to plummet through the everlasting night. You scream as you feel yourself pick up speed. With out warning, you hit the icy water of the underground lake.
Panic overtakes your senses and you begin to flail. Water quickly absorbs into your clothes and weighs you down. You cough and sputter and begin to sink. By the time you are able to think clearly enough to try to swim, it's too late. The material of your clothes is now water-logged.
Pity you didn't change out of your evening wear because that's what's dragging you to a watery grave!
