"I
don't see why not?" you say. "It's the only way in. And I for one want
to get out of here."
Tatiana still looks suspious. "Maybe..."
Finally, she agrees and directs you to get in the boat first,
then Michael. Right before she gets, she changes her mind.
"This is bad. We can't go by way of the lake. Nope. We can't."
You let out an exasperated sigh. ''Yes, we can." you say firmly and
start to undo the rope holding it to the shore.
Tatiana glares at you for going against her and you ignore it. It appears
that the girl is about to get in when her dagger suddenly flies across
the floor away from her. You could have sworn she did it on purpose. She
goes into the shadows to retrieve it, but does not return.
Instead she calls, "I'm stuck. My foot's stuck in a crack. Michael,
help me."

on the wood seat wondering how the fairy girl managed to get her foot stuck.
A ball of light suddenly darts out of the darkness and gives the boat a
swift kick.
"Tatiana!" Michael calls.
You return her black glare and defiantly begin to row. The lake is
much wider than you had realized nad soon you no longer see the light of
Tatiana. You row on in silence, slowing down some. Soon, however the silence
is broken by the sound of whispered singing. The voice is beautiful and
mesmerizing and evelopes you completely. It moves with you and stays with
you risinf fron the depths of the lake. You aren't frightened and you soon
forget about anything except finding the source of the voice. In effort
to do so, you begin to lean over the boat's edge. The lake perfectly
calm and looks like black glass. You continue leaning over until you are
the verge of capsizing the boat.
All of the sudden two enormous arms reach out of the lake and
grab you by the nech with an irristible force. The boat capsizes and you
fall overboard. The arms continue to drag you down into the depths. You
try to cry out, but it's no use. You're mouth fills with water which you
quickly spit out. You never discover the source of the siren's singing
because this is
